About me!

I am a dedicated veterinarian with a lifelong passion for animal care that began on a farm, where I grew up surrounded by animals of all kinds. From an early age, I witnessed firsthand the deep bond between humans and their pets, sparking a desire to provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to those who need it most.
As a first-generation college student, I worked multiple jobs while attending school full-time to make my dream of becoming a veterinarian a reality. Today, I’m proud to work as a relief general practitioner across Southern California, providing care to pets from all walks of life.
I bring my expertise to clinics throughout the region, offering exceptional care while also educating pet parents on responsible pet ownership, preventative medicine, and overall animal well-being.
I extend my outreach beyond the exam room through my social media presence, where I share expert veterinary advice with an engaged audience of over 80,000 followers across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
My goal on social media has always been to create a safe, educational, and welcoming space for pet parents. Whether I’m debunking myths, sharing behind-the-scenes stories from the clinic, or just making people smile, I want my community to feel empowered and supported every step of their pet care journey. Together, we’re making veterinary knowledge accessible, relatable, and fear-free.
In addition to my clinical work, I serve as the Medical Director of Underdog Community Project, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free veterinary services to the pets of individuals experiencing homelessness and financial hardship in Los Angeles.
Underdog Community Project is a cause close to my heart. As Medical Director, I’m proud to help lead this volunteer-run nonprofit providing free veterinary care for the pets of unhoused and low-income individuals in Los Angeles. Our mission is simple: keep pets healthy and with the people who love them, no matter their circumstances. From vaccines to wellness care, we aim to make veterinary services accessible, compassionate, and judgment-free for everyone.
I am deeply committed to fear-free, accessible veterinary care and work tirelessly to ensure that pets receive the medical attention they deserve, regardless of their owner’s circumstances.
A Fear Free approach isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a better way of practicing medicine. By reducing anxiety, stress, and fear during vet visits, we not only improve your pet’s experience but also get more accurate exams, diagnostics, and treatments. A calm pet is a healthier pet, and every gentle step matters.
I’m thrilled to partner with JustFoodForDogs, a brand I trust and personally use for my own pets. Their fresh, whole-food meals aren’t just nutritious—they’re thoughtfully formulated by veterinary nutritionists for optimal health. And the best part? You don’t have to feed your dog JFFD exclusively to see benefits! Even adding fresh food to your pet’s current diet can support better digestion, immune function, and overall wellness. It’s a simple, impactful way to nourish your pet with love.
Through my work in both private practice and nonprofit service, I am committed to bridging gaps in veterinary care, advocating for animal welfare, and empowering pet owners with the knowledge and resources they need to give their pets the best possible lives.
No matter the patient or situation, my approach is always centered on kindness, gentleness, and empathy. I believe every pet deserves to be treated like family, and every client deserves care free of judgment. My goal is to make veterinary visits less scary and more supportive—for both pets and their people.
Love,
Dr. Sarah
About My Pets
Kaia
My very first baby—and the reason I survived vet school. I adopted Kaia, my beautiful black cat, during my time at Cornell. She was by my side through every grueling clinical shift, every late-night study session, and every moment I questioned if I could make it through. She’s shy around new people, but if you’re in her circle, she’s the definition of loyal. Every night, without fail, she curls up beside me. She’s not just my cat—she’s my heart.

Mac is our 80-pound pittie mix with a giant head and an even bigger heart. We adopted him from a rescue in Los Angeles, and he’s been our lovable goofball ever since. He’s obsessed with food—especially strawberries—and will literally drool in a puddle at your feet if you’re eating something delicious.
Mac is incredibly affectionate with people (get ready for face kisses!), but he can get nervous around other dogs, so we’re
working on building his confidence. He’s silly, sweet, and the kind of dog that makes you smile even on your worst day.
Franklin-The final piece of our little zoo—and definitely the most dramatic! Franklin is our youngest pup and a true foster fail. I actually met him through a rescue group when I did his neuter myself—and couldn’t let him go. Since then, he’s become the most vocal (and most entertaining) member of the family. He’s also a little star—he’s made appearances on the news and a Hallmark show with me! Franklin loves to “talk” with the sweetest baby howls whenever he wants something… which, let’s be honest, is all the time.
Zoey - our wild child! Zoey was found abandoned in a cardboard box in the desert, but she hasn’t let that dim her light. She is loud, opinionated, and 100% the welcome committee whenever we have guests. Her sensitive tummy made her harder to adopt (she’s on a special diet), but to us, she was the missing puzzle piece. She makes us laugh every single day—she’s got personality in spades.
